the victorian decor in the room was excellent, including the panelling and radiators. the bed offered great comfort with clean linen, and the ensuite was modern. i appreciated that they served dinner in the room after the kitchen closed (this was a thoughtful touch).
the choice of items available for breakfast could be expanded a little, particularly fruit, yogurt and cereal. bread choices also seemed somewhat limited.

The dining room featured lovely decor, a visual treat. The car parking was also convenient. The breakfast had good choices, it softened the impact of a noisy room.
The bed in my room felt very hard and rather short.

I found the staff really lovely. The rooms are nicely done. The coffee machine in the room was a great highlight too. It added a touch of luxury..
My room was hot! I stayed in room 101. I was told there were 2 fans in the room, but one was the size of a matchbox with a USB plug, the other slightly bigger but equally useless.

The room became hot. There were two fans, but one was tiny and the other was not effective. The heat made sleeping difficult. I had to purchase a fan from a local supermarket. there was traffic noise from the nearby A34.
